Occupational Health and Safety

Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy:

Howrah Plumbing Pty Ltd is dedicated to taking a proactive and positive approach to the management of Work Health and Safety (WHS). Our commitment lies in striving for excellence within a workplace that ensures the safety of individuals by preventing exposure to an unsafe environment or hazardous work practices. We are resolute in our adherence to the legislation and standard AS/NZ 4801.

We recognize that all levels of management must exhibit leadership in the implementation of health and safety policies. This active involvement will significantly contribute to establishing an accident-free workplace throughout the entire Company, aligning with our ultimate goal. We will exert every effort to prevent injuries and illnesses while cultivating a healthy and secure environment. This will be achieved through the establishment, maintenance, and promotion of effective Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems and processes. We understand the necessity for adaptable systems that undergo evaluation to ensure continuous enhancement of HSE performance.

Howrah Plumbing aims to eradicate exposure to risks and injuries by implementing appropriate procedures and work systems, thereby establishing and sustaining a secure working environment. This initiative encompasses the execution of accident prevention programs as well as the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Our employees bear the responsibility of identifying and eliminating hazards while adhering to provided instructions. They are expected to work in a manner that safeguards their own health and safety, as well as that of their colleagues.

This policy will undergo review approximately every 12 months during a meeting attended by the management to ensure its ongoing relevance and appropriateness.

Environmental Management:

Howrah Plumbing Pty Ltd is firmly committed, as reasonably practicable, to minimizing environmental harm that could arise during plumbing and maintenance work performed at the request of customers. However, it should be noted that this commitment does not currently constitute a comprehensive environmental management system (Refer HSE/4.2/EM – Environmental Management Plan).

Similar to our WHS policy, this environmental commitment will be subject to review approximately every 12 months during a meeting attended by the management, ensuring its continued relevance and appropriateness.
